Well Sept has come and gone. My surgeons office informed me in Sept that he will no longer be doing bariatric surgery (the hospital or some higher ups won't approve it because he doesn't have enough patients). I finally decided that someone up there is telling me not to have this surgery. I don't have significant co-morbidities and I do have 5 kids, so I decided finally that I just can't do this anymore. Emotionally it's too hard to keep pushing for this. I just found out too that my husbands company is changing all the insurance around, so with my luck, that would have screwed things up again. So, I've lost 13lbs on my own so far and I'm just going to keep plugging along.

I can't believe a month has gone by so quickly! My surgeon called me the last week of June to let me know he will be moving his practice and the bariatric program to another hospital in the city. This will delay the surgery several more months :( Hopefully my insurance will be submitted and approved to that I can be scheduled in September. He did say I am at the top of the list to go in :)

Talked to the medical center today and she is submitting all my paperwork for ins. approval tomorrow. She said it usually only takes 3 days...so hopefully I'll know for sure by early next week!
A 3 year journey finally coming to an end (and a new beginning). Getting medical clearance on May 30, 2006 and then submission to insurance!
A little about me...
