Surgeon Testimonial

Paul J. Guske
I had my first consult with Dr. Guske on 7/18. I was delightfully surprised. Typically surgeons are cold, distant no nonsense and always in a hurry.

I found him to be very warm and caring and took alot of time to go over my concerns, especially about insurance problems. He made me feel very comfortable and I knew there was nothing that I couldn't ask him.

He referred me to a Bariatric Nutritionist to help with the insurance approval and felt that we would be able to get around the 12 month deal with BCBS due to my medical situation.

I would highly recommend him to anyone considering WLS in the Chicago area.

Thank you for all the input you have on the board. I have noticed that you are very upbeat and helpful to everyone. Thank you from a pre-op that appreciates all you post-ops have to say. Paula

Hey Ronna, I've been reading your postings everyday and look forward to your progress reports. Your page is on my "favorite" link so I don't have to wait to read it. You are my inspiration. I'm still waiting impatiently for BCBS to approve me. Take care neighbor, Pam Q.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to Me
on December 25, 2007 7:54 pm
It's been more than 2 months since I've had a chance to update my profile.  I have been extremly busy going on interviews, sending out resumes.

It was a very frustrating and stressful year.  But things finally worked out and as of January 2nd I will be going back to work.  I will be the Human Resource Manager for a local home improvement company and can't be more pleased.

January 3rd will be my second anniversary of being a post-op.  What a difference 2 years have made and I can happily say all for the better.

I had pretty much written myself off and had resigned myself to the notion that I wouldn't be long for this world and now look at me!!!!!

I can't begin to sing it from the roof tops, WLS saved my life.
