Good MORNING fellow October BABY!!!! - and an early Happy ONE YEAR Re-birthday to you!!! I’ll be in sunny Las Vegas for a week so I wanted to send you early salutations! I found this quote and just love it! When running up a hill, it’s alright to give up as many times as you wish – as long as your feet keep moving. By - Shoma Morita M.D. I can only imagine that your experience has been wonderful. Full of changes and new experiences. Congratulations to YOU!!! If you have an opportunity and/or haven’t already, please stop by and update your profile! We’d all love to know how well you’ve progressed!!! If you have a few moments, please take the time to send well wishes to your fellow “re-birthday” buddies!!! It’s a great boost to them as well as yourself. I'd also like to invite you to participate in the October 2003 message board. We do have activity and enjoy hearing from our peers! Have a FANTASTIC DAY! RNY 10/31/03 down 121 pounds and at GOAL!!! -

Minor Miracles
January 29, 2004 1:41 am
Thought it might be a good idea to start a list of the minor miracles that have occured to each of us since our surgeries. Need to figure out where to post it but I think it would be especially helpful as we get into the "blahs" to see what we have accomplished.

Example List:
Walking up stairs two at a time
Sitting at a booth at Outback
Getting off a medication
Walking a mile
20 minutes of aerobics
Wearing an XL shirt instead of XXL
Being happy

Surgeon visit!
January 9, 2004 1:42 am

I love these people. I feel so good after 3 months I just wanted to hug Brett and Dr. Irgaau.

So I went to the office and got my official weigh-in. I was a little dissapointed in their scales (5 pounds heavier than mine at home), but even by their scales I have lost 65.4 pounds. That's the equivalent of both my dogs (corgis).

They were satisfied and I'm estactic. No problems to report.

It's funny to feel like boasting, but I still enjoy it. I have removed the word "diet" from my internal dictionary. I finally found a life that works!!
