Hello, I am now 32 year old and five years post op open RNY.  I lost about 120 pounds and had a follow up tummy tuck and hernia repair two years after RNY.  I married the man of my dreams and have the perfect home life including adding our newest addition in April 2010.  We are expecting a little girl and I couldn't be more thrilled.  I have a step daughter, but this will be baby number 1 for me.  I am working hard not to gain to much weight and have been somewhat successful, but know I have some work for me after delievery.

I will be more than happy to answer any questions--so ask away!  God Bless-Stacey

So I decided, I am not a number on a scale
on April 3, 2012 9:04 am
As we all have done even before gastric, understood the number on the scale has meaning.  And at 300 pounds, without a doubt it had meaning...It meant I was unheathy and cerainly didn't know it but unhappy.  As I am coming up on my 8 years after gastric, I realized...yes it took 8 years to realize it, but I am not a number on a scale.   I was blessed nearly four years ago to meet a man who gym time was like eating breakfast, just supposed to be in the days agenda.  At my lowest weight of 162, gym never meant anything but pain.  So what did that mean for me....so that we could have that one more thing in common, I began my workout journey.  Slow and painful, but I did it.

So this year I turn 35, I will be celebrating my 2 year old's birthday, yet, I am at 197 (weight this AM)...but that number does not define that I work out 5-6 days most days 2 times a day.  I RAN the 8K, yes no marathon, but I ran it in a lil over an hour, and by all stretch, in the best shape of my life!   I do crossfit at least 3-4 times a week, and for the first time this week, I did a pull up....

So my committment to myself is to remember as I go back on April 19th for my 8th year...the number on the scale DOES NOT Define me and I am NOT a number on a scale.

Thanks for reading!
