ObesityHelp

I have had Type 1 diabetes for 60 of my 61 years, and am sick of being obese, but also a bit anxious about having the vertical sleeve gastrectomy, as it's irreversible.   It took me more than 2 years to finally agree to having the surgery, as I have a huge sense of shame for getting to this point.  I worry about the excess skin that will remain, and how I will pay for the necessary plastic surgery.  Is there anyone else out there with Type 1 diabetes who has had this procedure done?  If so, how did it go? Thanks for any information.....
