Surgeon Testimonial

Hugh Houston
Dr. Houston is a wonderfully professional, caring man who sees what each individual patient needs. He saw from my previous surgeries: hernia, spleenectomy.. that he would be presented with some \"issues\"... but he didn't once flinch - he met those \"issues\" straight forward, and done the job! He prepared me for a possible open procedure, but with his terrific hands of skill, I didn't have to -which cut down on my recuperation time! I would send anyone to Dr. Houston... anyone that is who wanted the absolute best care they could get! That is Dr. Hugh Houston... and I am forever grateful to him for the new lease on life that through the Lord's mighty hand on his - he has given me that!rnrnHe even impressed my daddy... which I don't have to tell you girls out there - our daddies are pretty hard to impress when it comes to their daughters! But my husband, and parents were comforted knowing that this man was more than competent in doing what I needed done.

Monday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench! ~ JudyAnne

3 wks - Post Op!
posted on 5/1/07 11:13 am
Well, its been 3 weeks, and I have lost 35 pds!!!   whooo hooo!  I feel really good, and am healing good. I do have a bit of trouble getting in all of the required fluid for the day. I am faithfully taking my vitamins, and trying to reach my protein goal for each day, but still struggling with the fluids!

I have had a couple of "episodes" where my food did not agree with me and it came right back up - but you know it might sound weird, but its really not like throwing up! I know that's just too weird sounding, but it really isnt to me.  But I have been so blessed that I havent really had to deal with
what a lot of people do at this stage.

Would I do it again???   ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!!!

I will post again in a few days... be blessed and have a wonderful day!  Feel free to ask me anything about my surgery, pre-op, post-op... etc...  I am here to help~!
