Hugh Houston
Dr. Houston is a wonderfully professional, caring man who sees what each individual patient needs. He saw from my previous surgeries: hernia, spleenectomy.. that he would be presented with some \"issues\"... but he didn't once flinch - he met those \"issues\" straight forward, and done the job! He prepared me for a possible open procedure, but with his terrific hands of skill, I didn't have to -which cut down on my recuperation time! I would send anyone to Dr. Houston... anyone that is who wanted the absolute best care they could get!     Monday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. 3- 1/2 months out!

I am so proud to say that at this moment I have lost 85 pounds!!!!! I feel like I am winning this battle that I have fought most of my life!
Don't get me wrong - there are moments (such as dumping, queasy, yucky feelings) but the way I can best tell you is this - I have not felt this good in the past 20 years!!!! Honestly, I don't remember ever feeling this good.
I hopefully will be taken off my high blood pressure med soon, and will be able to come off the CPAP machine for my sleep apnea. There are so many changes taking place in me, and I have to admit sometimes they are a bit overwhelming.
I think that is where the psych stuff comes into play - I don't know how you could do something this drastic and not have a strong support system around you. I am so blessed to have one, and everyone is so supportive and encouraging. I feel so special and so loved. God is so good, and I thank Him from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to undertake this change in my life! If you are considering surgery, and should want to contact me, please do so!
