I am retired.  I was a stagehand working in Theater and Television.  It was a great job.  I am 60 retired early because I got hurt on the job. 
      I have been “sturdy” all my life… big bone and muscular.  When I was 13 I used my money to buy my school cloths for High School.  It was a big deal I remember the event well.  I wore a size 12.  I kept that size for years.  After I was married and started having babies I went up to 185.  Lost weight a few times 35 lbs each time… If I was on a “serious” diet... but of course I gained  it back

    After I got hurt at work, could not work ( could not do much of anything) and taking a lot of pain meds my weight went up again.  I have been on high blood pressure meds since I was 30 years old every couple of years the doctors would up the dosage or add an additional med. Now I take a handful of pill morning and night.   I am also diabetic and have sleep apnea.  I am 5’6” weight 220 lbs.  I have no idea why I have some many heath related problems even though I barely make the cut off for insurance to pay for my surgery.  
     I have known about the lap-band for years.  I finally admitted I can not lose enough weight and keep it off on my own... so here I am
