Going to Orentation

One Year Later.......

So wow its been one year since I have posted...a lot has changed...I lost 70 pounds which was a trure blessing so I have been floating between 375 and 380 pounds.. I feel that I am in a healther postion to have wls than I was a year ago..so I am back on the approval journey again..Ihave included some pics....wish me luck

Hi All,

Well i am in the race.I have lost 8 pounds so far and I feel great. I am so loving the new me. I am focused and ready to get this weight off like never beore in my life. When people ask me if I am on a diet I say no. I am losing weight. That is my answer because that is what I am doing. diets are for a time period what I am doing is a lifestyle change. I know I can do this and this 8 pounds in 1 week just proves it. GO Sha Go

well I was already to go and there was a prolem via the insurance company. I am now playing the waiting game. I am down but I am not out. I have decide to try weight loss on my ow until I get my approval.

My Story

I am a married 26 year old african american female. I have been overweight my entire life.  2 years ago I was diganoised with dermamyostyios which is a disease that breaks down the muscles of the body. The only way to fight this disease is with aggressive steriod therapy. This has caused me to gain 120 pounds in two years. I am now doing a lot better with my disease but am still left in much pain due to the weight on my already weak muscles. My weight has sky rockted to 437 pounds which broght me to no other choice but WLS.
