I am 5 weeks post op and have lost a total of 80 pounds!!! I love this feeling and I love the compliments...most large people always hide in everyone else's shadows but it feels really nice to stand out!!!

Surgeon Testimonial Guillermo Alvarez M.D. My first impression of Dr A was awesome. I have never met a doctor in the states that was that caring and concerned about your well-being. His staff was just as amazing as he was. They all explain everything in detail as to what is about to happen so your not left in the dark. 2 weeks post op! on July 29, 2008 2:00 pm I went through a plateau for a few days but I am down 15 pounds since my surgery amd 45 pounds pre-op so I have lost a total of 60 pounds. It feels great to to be on the losers bench!!!!!!

Finally, the day after! on July 12, 2008 3:50 am Well I made it through my surgery fine. The ONLY complaint I have is the gas and nausea, everything else ws great. Of course I had the best doc in the world. I was walking around about an hour and a half after my surgery Anyone that is considering WLS needs to just bite the bullet and do it!
Friday is my day!

on July 8, 2008 9:28 pm Well, I am in San Antonio today, we will spend the day here tomorrow then go on to Eagle Pass on Thursday. I am so excited and ready to get this surgery part over with!

I have been on every diet and every diet pill ever put out, but always ended with the same result: lose a few pounds and gain back a few more. I heard about endobariatrics from a friend that is also trying to have this done, I have fought with my insurance company for about 5 years trying to get approved for lapband ( I am a diabetic, have high blood pressure, and sleep apnea)with no luck. Finally, through many tears and prayers, I am scheduled to have VGS on July the 11th. I have to be on a liquid diet until then but what a goal I have to look forward to. I have a wonderful 10 year old son and a loving and supporting husband that are my biggest motivators.
