9 years Post Op

I am celebrating my 9th year after weight loss surgery.  Weight just isn't an issue anymore.  It seems health issues are the priority.  I'm not sure if any of my health issues are due to the WLS or not.  I don't think so except for getting kidney stones.  I have osteoporosis but that's mostly hereditary.  My weight has stayed within a 5 - 10 pound window for the last nine years.  I still weight between 135 - 140 depending on how active I am for the most part.  I still eat whatever I want but I do try to make healthier choices.   It's freeing not to have to worry about my weight anymore.  I used to obsess about it.  The procedure (DS/BPD) worked for me.  I understand that Dr. Baltasar isn't doing this procedure anymore but is doing a gastric sleeve.  Overall, no more nausea or vomiting or bowel problems.  I am a little sad that our Kansas City Dr. Baltasar weight loss group has lost contact with each for the most part.   I will have to wait and see what the next 9 years holds.  I'm still skinny and lovin it!
