Surgeon Testimonial

David Provost, M.D.
Dr. David Provost was friendly, nice, and very thorough in the information that he provided me. He is very knowledgeable in a lot of procedures. rnrnHis bedside manner may not be the best, but he did come and see me after surgery and was very proud of the fact that I was up walking around like it was suggested of me to do.rnrnThe day I was discharged his wife came to see me instead of him and she is the one that discharged me from the hospital.rnrnHe is a very good surgeon and good at what he does.rnrnI highly recommend him to others as he is a great surgeon.

She called me and told me she was OK! That girl never does anything slow and she sounded wonderful but a little groggy. I'm so happy for her and I wanted to let everyone know that she did fine!

"They play it safe, are quick to assassinate what they do not understand. They move in packs, ingesting more and more fear with every act of hate on one another. They feel most comfortable in groups; less guilt to swallow. They are us; this is what we have become, afraid to respect the individual. A single person within our circumstance can move one to change, to love herself, to evolve." Erykah Badu - Window Seat

My Story

My name is Teena A. I am a 35-year-old single female who lives with my 7 yr old 5 lb Chihuahua son named Nico. I am 5 ft. 6 in. tall,I have hazel eyes and brown hair. I currently live in Mesquite, Texas and this is my story.

I was overweight pretty much all of my teenage to adult life.As a child I was pudgy and I remember my mother bought me pretty plus clothes. I don’t know about you, but there is nothing pretty about being pretty plus sized as a child or adult.

I had Lap RNY Gastric Bypass Surgery (proximal) in 6/2002 and was very successful.

I lost all of my weight and made it to goal.

I had all of my reconstructive surgeries approved by insurance.

I was thin for more than six years and due to a gastro gastric fistula I have gained some weight back.

I am now scheduled for a repair of my gastro gastric fistula and revision of Gastric Bypass Surgery from Proximal to Distal (common channel will be 90-100) on October 9, 2009 at 11:00 am.

Due to the fact that after the first surgery I always ate healthy and followed the rules (Protein first, drink maximum amount of water daily,no sugar or carbonated drinks, waiting to eat after drinking, taking my vitamins, and exercising) I have to doubt that I will be successful this time around as well.
