Wednesday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. Wishing you a safe journey to the losing side!!! I had my RNY gastric bypass in May 2003 and have lost 225 getting to below goal. I have absolutely no regrets other than that I didn't have my WLS sooner. Please know that anything is within reach providing you use this wonderful tool you've been given! Best wishes! Down to about 311
on May 12, 2008 11:15 pm

I am now stuck at around 311 for the last few weeks. Doing good though. Still not working out as much as I would like. Things are going good. Can eat pretty much anything as long as it is not too much. Too much and I might have to lay down (sugar at least).

Another Month
on January 10, 2008 11:24 pm
Well, it took another month to lose about 5 more pounds. I did eat a hell of a lot over the holidays.

339 today.

Low or high?
on December 11, 2007 9:53 pm
After calling my surgeon and getting advice about my low iron and low vitamin D I went to my PCP and talked about it. Well it turns out his note was wrong. I had high vitamin D and normal Iron. I am aniemic though. He said that is not specific to iron in my case. So I guess I am ok. So why was I so tired last week? My surgeon said perhaps I need more salt and I was also on Antibiotics. He said I could have had a bad reaction to those. Anyway I have added more salt and I am feeling better already.

345 yesterday.

A few more
on December 2, 2007 11:07 am
I told myself i would start working out again after I got past 350. I am 349 today. Yesterday I signed up for the gym. I am still having ankle issues and I do not have very much energy. We shall see how much I use it. I am planning on starting in the pool.

My Story

A bit about myself....

I am a 40 year old man who is 6 foot 4 and 390 pounds.

At 2 times in my life I lost over 100 pounds.
Phen Fen - lost it and gained it back after I stopped taking the meds.
I would have kept on taking them but they were taken of the market as
you all know.

Lap Band.
Procedure went great at first, lost 100 pounds total. Started at 410.
However after having some fluid taken out of the band I could never
get it back to where it was good again. It was too tight. I could
barely even drink water. I can get more fluid put in know but it has
stopped working. I have alot of pain when it is too tight. I also have
alot of reflux when it is tight.
I also did alot of exercise at first with the band. As soon as I
stopped I stopped loosing. Makes sense.

So, now I am ready for the MGB. Everything I have read sounds like a
good trade off for being smaller. I really enjoyed being able to run
around and do physical stuff when I lost 100 pounds before.
