Tuesday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench!

My name is Sharon and I have 3 beautiful girls ages 19,18 and 14.  I have been contemplating WLS for sometime now since by BF had her's (Gastric By-Pass '04).

I started having issues with my weight when I found out that I had a hyperactive thyroid. Having a hyperactive thyroid caused my weight to go up and down because my thyroid was producing so much hormones that it was causing other organs in my body to work hard like heart palpations, tremors, dry skin, memory loss, etc, and to get it under control I had to undergo several radioactive uptakes which killed off the excessive hormones.  Now that is done I now have hypothyrodism, which is I don't produce enough hormone..isn't that something.  Now I have a weight issue.  I went from 150 to 198 in a matter of months.

Since dealing with my weight issues I had to come to a decision, because all the weight loss options I was trying was not successful at all.  I take that back ,with the pills I lost 1lb! but I gain back 3 or 4.   laugh with me!!

My sugery is scheduled for 11/20/07 and I'm having the lap band procedure.   I felt that the gastric bypass was a little to dramatic for me, and I wanted to lose the weight slowly so I can tone up at the same time.

I'm excited about losing the weight , reaching my goal  by my wedding day and feeling back to myself again.      So my journey begins..........................
Im finally on the band wagon

Enjoying my new life..

Hello to all,

I'm doing fine since my last blog.  Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and new year.  I haven't had my first fill as of yet, but i'm looking forward to it. My fiance' lost his aunt a wonderful woman that was so instrumental in his life passed on December 14th.  She was so excited about him getting married that she and I looked forward to that day, so I wasn't able to have my second follow-up visit so, i haven't checked or look @ the scale at all, because I can eat somethings, but not as much though.  But again I'm looking forward to removing the additional weight that I need to lose.  My target is to be a size 10-12 that's comfortable for me..I was a 12 before all that I have been through and that was very comfortable.

So all in all everyone I'm doing very well, and I go and visit the doc on Monday Jan. 7th to see where I am and hopefully schedule for my first fill and hopefully a second one around March... I will keep in touch with everyone to let you know my progress and I will upload some before and after pictures..

Hello all fellow bandsters,
