Had a surgery date of August 2nd for the DS, and found I my blood sugar is too high for safe surgery.  So I am on a new strict diet and have an appointment with my PCP to probably start insulin tomorrow until the surgery.  I am so disappointed, but know that there is a reason for everything.  So now... my surgery is scheduled for October 3rd, the day before the start of the Oktoberfest in my hometown... which is pretty much a foodfest with some crafts thrown in for good meaure... LOL.
