I'm losing again!!!!
on September 15, 2008 7:00 am
I've had quite a stall if that's what you want to call it. I definitely was not as compliant. I do think my body needed a rest and my metabolism too. I wasn't counting calories but I know they were up. I got back into the routine and started counting calories again and staying between 1200 - 1300 calories / day and getting 3-4x a week exercise.

Seeing the scales move again has giving me some much needed momentum and energy to keep it up and get those last 20 lbs off!

A post of mine about long term success
on August 4, 2008 7:33 am
I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I have not gained weight but I'm not loosing that last 24 lbs. I'm not eating bad but I'm not doing as well as I could.

I does get harder the farther out you go. For me not because of the fact I'm hungry or just craving the food. I don't have the things in order in my kitchen. When you first have surgery you have everything prepared. Stocks of protein drinks trips to Trader Joes are scheduled. Everything is ready for your success. I just had surgery for crying out loud, so I came first, even my family put me first. As time goes on other things come back into the schedule. Now its harder to put me first.

This is true for every diet I went on. As long and I was focused and making my eating plan a priority I could stick with it. As soon and I got busy I would not have a planned meal get hungry and then eat something I shouldn't have.

Time to reprioritise. I'm going to the store tonight and getting all the right things. Chicken for grilling, cottage cheese, ff milk and etc. Check for some good recipes from egg face and others.

One goal reached

I remember when I went for my first meeting with my surgeon. I told him I wanted this surgery and I wanted to be healthier when all said and done. I wanted to be off kayaking somewhere in a year from now not feeling sicker.

Well I went Kayaking this weekend in Lake Tahoe. It was a fabulous day! GOAL!

It's the little things

Adding a skinny cinnamon dolce latte. Skipping a night of exercise. A few extra almonds. Ooops sugar free ice cream! I will say these things slow you down. Not that you have to be the hero and never have them. But life is about choices and those choices are yours to make.
