Leland J. Cook
I could not have asked for a better surgeon or Weightloss program. Dr. Cook is such a sweet and humble man. He is a total professional, yet makes you feel totally comfortable and cared for when talking to him. I would recommend anyone to him. Thoughout my hospital stay, all the staff kept commenting on what a great surgeon he is and how much he cared for each and everyone of his patients. He always answered all of my questions and was eagar to help and make me comfortable thoughout my hospital stay. Throughout this whole process I was totally informed!! I was given guidence and directions on every step of the way. I was given a 3 ring binder filled with lists of what food to eat at what stages, along with meds that I was aloud to take and what things to expect before and after surgery. All of Dr. Cooks staff is very professional and very knowledgable about the whole procedure and aftercare. I was comfortable throughout the whole process!

Birthday and 1st Fill Coming Up!!!!!!

My birthday is tomorrow, Jan 28th, and I have my 1st fill on Monday, Feb 4th!!  I can't wait to see how much weight I have lost since my last appt!  I definitely feel as though I need a fill.  The weight is coming off slowly.  I feel as though I'm able to eat too much at dinner time.  I've been either walking or doing the elliptical for at least 35 min a day.  Hope everyone is doing GREAT!!!

Post-op Appt!!!

I had my post op appt. today!!  I lost 19.2 lbs since Christmas Day!!!!!  They said that is really great for lapband, but don't expect to continue to lose weight that fast.  I'm so happy!!  I'm hoping to lose 10 more by my next appt on Feb 4th!  Thank you all for all your prayers!!

Let's BRAG about GOD!!!

First off, I'm doing GREAT!!!  Never had any trouble keeping anything down, I only use my pain meds at night to help me sleep.  Doing just great!!!  Thank you, God!!  
And here comes some more great ways GOD had total kept me in His hands.....He is so faithful!!!!  I submitted my food receipts and mileage to the insureance company for my travel for lapband stuff for 2007 cause they reimburse me for that stuff since I have to travel more that 50 miles from my home.  Well, I thought it was .20cents per mile, but it was 48.5 cents per mile.  I received a check in the mail today for over $1000!!!!!  We drive my little Toyota Yaris, which gets 40MPH highway, so we made money!!LOL  That check also paid for my childcare for 3 kids and more!!!!!  GOD IS SOOOOO GOOD!!!!  HE really takes care of His sheep!  And that was all from the time before my surgery.  I haven't even submitted stuff for 2008, yet!  
It's all GOD!!

Surgery Went Perfect!

Surgery went really well.  THANK YOU, GOD!!!  I'm feeling good concidering I just had surgery yesterday!  I'll let you know how things are going through out the week.  God is so faithful, and I owe all my successes to Him!
