on June 4, 2009 3:13 am
Nothing has really changed. Everything remains the same. Im down to 299. Im continuing to work my tool. Today is my 4th day back to work and I find im still
very tired in the afternoons. Ive been holding at 299 for a few days, that usually means my period is on the way.

7 weeks post op: 304 lbs

Today Im 7 weeks post op and Ive lost 9 lbs this week for a grand total of 37 lbs
for 7 weeks. I think Ive done very well. Im feeling good and eating everything.  I
have no issues with food except for the occasional pains when I eat too fast but
Im learning!

Next week I start back to work. Im dreading all of the questions I know I most certainly do face but I will work it out somehow. I cant wait to see
my family when I go on vacation in august. I hope they have trouble
recognizing me. On to week 8.

6 weeks post op: 313 lbs

I dont quite understand whats going on with my body. Last week my menstrual
cycle began and I was up from 311 to 317. I wanted to hit the roof. The only thing
I can think of is my menstrual cycle and the fact that I have been without BP meds
for a little over a week so some of this might be water weight. one can only hope.

Aside from that I am feeling really good and can eat anything. I have not had nausea or dumping at all. My dr says I just might be one of those people who do
not dump. once again, one can only hope. I can eat Fish, chicken, tuna, cold cuts, cheese, bread, brown rice, chili, vegetables (cooked and raw) with no issues and I
consider that a blessing. I have one more week before I return to work so Im looking forward to week 7.

I saw my dr on May 15th. he said I am right on target for the way he wants me to
lose the weight. he doesnt want me losing any more than 2-3 lbs per week to give my skin as much chance as possible to snap back. Im still not allowed to join a gym. perhaps when I see him again July 10th he will let me go to the gym. until then the workout is on my treadmill at home.

Today Im 5 weeks post op and continuing to do well and feel well. I had my first menstrual cycle since the surgery and the pain was worse than anything Ive ever
experienced before. I hope that gets better. I will be seeing my surgeon tomorrow  so I will ask him about that.

4 Weeks post op: 313 lbs

Okay so Im into my 4th week and am feeling wonderful. Im now at 313 lbs which represents a loss of 28 lbs. who wouldve ever thought I could lose this weight and
not be hungry, not me...thats for sure.

I can eat almost anything and have not had any dumping episodes, although I have
had pain when eating too fast and I have to remind myself to slow down. sometimes I actually get up and walk away for a few minutes. I now eat chicken, fish, tuna, chili, cold cuts, cheese and I have 2 protein shakes everyday. my protein level is at around 120 g. I rarely eat anything without protein. it seems like such a waste.

Anyway, I have my follow up with my surgeon on the 15th and I hope everything is going well.
