Andrew Bright, M.D. I just want to say that Dr. Bright was wonderful. My first impression was that "he sure is young" but I guess the older we get the younger everyone else looks! lol
He and his staff are a "Center of Excellence" now which is VERY important when choosing a surgeon. One of the things I liked most is he was very down to earth. He sat and talked to us very comfortably and never had an attitude like some doctor's do now days. He was just great. He loves what he does and is very good at it. I believe he gets just as much joy in watching his patients succeed as we get our selves.
The support group that meets once a month at the Rockwood clinic is also wonderful. It is very informative and answers all the questions you may have, before and after surgery.
Well, it is just over one year from my surgery. I am down 76 lbs as of this morning. I feel great. My only problem is I am only losing about 2 lbs a month. I am walking but not exercising like I should so it is probably my own fault. I thank God everyday for the weight loss and how good I feel.
Well, it is almost 3 months since I had my surgery. Boy the time sure flies by. I am down 37 lbs and I feel great. Once in a while I get in a little slump when the weight doesn't seem to be coming off and then I will wake up one morning and 2 or 3 lbs are gone. Now that the weather is warming up it will be much easier to get outside and walk. It is so beautiful up here in the northwest who would want to stay inside.
Boy am I learning my lessons the hard way. My husband and I have tried to go out to eat a couple of times now. Last night I took a bite of some meat and I guess I just didn't chew it up well enough.. OH the PAIN..... well as you probably have guessed we are going to be saving a lot of money by eating at home or eating very little. I think sometimes we forget to "think" while we are eating and dig in like we use to do. But we only pay the price later.
I am relatively new to OH but I really need everyone's support. I am 51 yrs young. I have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. We are full time RVer's and love it.
In the last 15 years it seems that stress had played a big part in my weight gain. When my husband and I married over 20 years ago I was 129 lbs and a size 8. Just before my surgery on Feb. 19th of this year I was up to 253. My husband became sick in 1993 and I lost my parents in 1995 and 96. I guess with all the stress I took up eating for a hobby. Well that only backfired on me because look where I am now.
I am very glad that I decided to have this surgery. I prayed and prayed for years and God opened the doors wide for me this year. So far I am down 24 lbs and I can't wait until this summer to go shopping for some new clothes. I am looking forward to traveling with my husband and seeing this great country of ours. I know I will have more energy than ever to sight see and explore.
