3 Months & 23 Days!
Man next week it will be 4 months!

I am 212lbs.  Not horrible but not great!

I am finding that water is playing a major role in this (or so I think).

I am not having a problem during the week but the weekends.... thats a different story.  But I am working on it.

Date                  Weight                            Total Loss
5/2/2008            260 lbs (118kgs)                 0
6/11/2008          231 lbs (105kgs)                29

7/21/2008          220 lbs                                11

8/25/2008          212 lbs                                 8

I hope to be at 210lbs by 2 September; if I make it ,  I will total 50lbs in 4 months.

3 Months & 5 days (13 1/2 Weeks)
on August 7, 2008 2:21 am

This is interesting.  I just started back with my protein shakes (@ least 2 a day during the week).  I started back at the gym (2wks ago).

I did get down to 215 lbs (a great feeling); but am now back to 217.5lbs.  I have no complaints because I haven't been this size in over 10 years.

I am not doing any weights because I do not want any weight gain.  Just walking (can't run... bad feet), stair/step master and sit-ups at night (just started this week).

I am not going to stress because I know that it is just muscle forming.

I do find that I have to take a sleep aid to get to sleep at night. Also, I am noticing that I really don't care for certain types of meat (beef).  I am able to deal with a steak or a cheeseburger, but all other forms just seem too heavy in my stomach.  I just reather skip the meat altogether but I know that I have to get my protein.

I am recalculating my calcium intake becasue I am noticing a major constipation problem.  Simply put, I like to go to the potty daily!

Breakfast:: 1 cup of Diet V8
Snack: Protein Shake (more like a late lunch)
Lunch:
Dinner:

Feeling unmotivated today.  Planning to go to the gym, but not sure what I make partake in today.  I am feeling the sauna today but as we all know our hair can become an issue afterwards.

I noticed that my stomach hurt ebnough to be noticable on Saturday.  I didn't eat much this weekend; I figured if I wasn't hungry... then why eat!

I did start taking magnesium (oxide) on Sunday [1 pill which has 250 mg.  My internet was down all weekend so I wasn't able to read much at all; but I did read where I may need to increase the dosage to keep things moving.

SO I am taking multivitamins (centrum chewables, I aim for 2 a day but sometimes I am only getting 1) , calcium (citrate) I am doing the citrus wafers which contain vit D & magnesium, and magnesium (currently 250 mg but will up that to about 1000mg).  I am waiting for my B12 (sub) to arrive and need to research if Ihave to take B6 or B1.

I haven't noticed and hair lose, just alittle shedding but I have always been a shedder so I have not taken any Biotin.

Cheese for my previous WINE!

228 is still displaying on the scale.

Instead of complaining, I am taking a minute to appreciate the fact that 32 lbs are gone in less than 2 months.

I know that without this tool there is no way possible, I could have lost that amount within this time frame.

My Story

Hello ...

I have my date ..it's 2 May 2008.  I am so happy yet still very scared.

My highest weight was 280lbs; my current weight is 259 lbs.  I am hoping to be down at least another 5 lbs by surgery date.

I have tried so many different diets that it really is embarrassing.  I use to call myself "Mrs. Walking GNC"!

Of all if the various diets I've tried in the past, I think the most successful was prescribed phentermine with a water pill.  Worked great at 1st, but after taking a recommended break and then going back several times it seemed as if my body developed a tolerance to the medication.  It just worked less and less; and the water pills I couldn’t take after a few months because they some how depleted my potassium level.  This lead to some MAJOR muscle cramps.

I am so looking forward to having my RNY done.  I can't believe I have let myself get to my current size; so disappointing.

But I am so looking forward to saying good-bye to my current associate (food) and Hello again to my long lost friend "The Mirror".

I have ready several of the other post  and it's truly amazing that others are feeling the same emotions that I have (i.e. oh, but you have such a pretty face    This pretty face doesn't help anything when I awake some mornings and have to walk with my cane because my ankles scream from the almost 300 lbs that they have to try and support; my back pain, aching knees and the headaches from when my blood pressure is too high.  And that's just part the physical.).

I just can't believe what I have done to the temple God has provided for me.

I have run from the fact that I am obese way soo long. But it is time to own up the problem I have created and seek an overall solution before it is completely too late.
