Hello OH Family, I'm My'Eshea. I'm a jazzy southern girl, Louisiana born and raised. I'm also a single mother of the greatest 4 year old little boy, whose the brightest star in my sky! I'm a very kind hearted person that loves to help anyone, guess that's also how I became a medic. Well that's just a little about me, I'm sure more is yet to come.

My Story

So you want to know my story? Hmmm,  let's see where it all began..... I've been pretty much overweight since about the 4th grade and from that point I slowly began to balloon upward.  I remeber being a size 12 in the 6th grade (boy wouldn't I love that sz 12 now, lol), but I never let my weight stop me.  I was into sports alot, even through high school.  I was on the basketball team and even loved to play volley ball. I was always self confident throught out my teen years and never really had a problem with my weight.  I remeber my senior year in high school I was the biggest one on the track team, weighing 240 lbs, but I had amazing endurance and could run with the best of them and was even in the marching band.  After high school, once I started college, is when I started to see my weight as a problem. There wasn't any sports to keep my occupied and I began to really see how out of shape I was and how big I'd gotten, weighing 278 lbs by my senior year. Even at 278, I was still very socialable and like to go out and have fun. Well fast forward a couple years, I met my current BF of 8 years, have a kid and the rest is history. After becoming pregnant and having a child, I reached my highest of 335 lbs I no longer like to go places and avoid anywhere where there may be a lot of people, self esteem is zero!!! For the past three years I've been considering WLS but always changed my mind and never pursued it. Well September of 2011, I found OH and had a change of heart and began looking into the gastric sleeve, gastric bypass has always scared me, I guess the whole re-routing of the intestines just didn't sit well. This time my mind to have WLS was set,  so I upgraded my insurance and put a little in FSA because this time, if I can control it, my jouney is going all the way!!!
