I went to a seminar. 08/23/07 I wanted a second opinion. Was going to get the lapband but wanted more info on Rny surgery. Soooo I went to this seminar where Dr Kim does both and got his unbiased opinion on both and meet people who had both surgeries. So I am leaning towards Rny. Its what I wanted deep down and the other clinic only deals with lap only. I kind of felt they discouraged me from wanting Rny since they dont do it. period. Dr Kims office is a Center of Execellence.The only one in Ft.Worth And that does mean a lot to me He also preformed HUNDREDS of laproscopic Rny's and Lapbands,,No Deaths and ensures your saftey and success. So enough said I want to take the Rny route. Again this is my personal opinion.

Today I feel pretty good, I had a bad experience yesterday, Yes dumb me did a dumb thing... I made cinnamon rolls for the kids and.... I tried a tiny piece and it hurt like hell...OMG I thought I was gonna burst, The bread felt stuck and I sipped some Crystal light to get it moving and..It made it worse. So Something say's go to the bathroom, I didnt need to puke, So I stand by the toilet bend over my mouth is drowling , And bam !!!  there goes Crystal light ewww nasty . I learned I had the foamies and I thought I was dumping, Yes I thought I was Mrs. Wonder RNY envincible to anything. Yep dumb thought. I know, I told one of my friends I even wonder if I had the surgery, It's cause you start to feel so normal so to speak. You cant tell you were re-routed there's no inner feelings, Yeah I know I have 5 very small incisions, that are almost gone, Hardly see them. So I am learning as I go

O.k Drain Tube out

O.k drain tube out. That was the weirdest feeling Ewwww. I have had a pain on my left lower side but I think I over did it yesterday. by my belly incision. I am Still feeling tired The Dr. said walk walk walk. But energy level is at a 1 really. I think I could sleep 24/7 I finally had a B.m. Today ouch !!! That was'nt pleasant I know it seems like TMI but the truth. I figure the more I write the more I remember these things for the next person. I wish I would of known after surgery I had a heck of a time to even wipe my bottom. So sore I.v Hooked up had 2 accidents BM By the time I unhooked the machine and waddled to bathroom and Thought what I had was gas... wasnt. Oh yeah sure humilation of it. But the nurse assured me it's common Why didn't I ever hear about it, Cause i would of ran with the vengence. Trust me on that one !!! Another tip is on your way home have a pillow handy what a help thanks to Julie C for that tip what a life saver. I seemed to notice every bump on the road.

Hi everyone I am home, Sore but here. It was a journey for sure, I had the staple gun miss -fire and my intestine was kinked at one end, So the Dr. had to kinda re-do everything. He is so good. I have a smaller pouch than he normally does it.But that's O.k. It's done, and done right. So all is Well. Thanks for the Well Wishes and Prayers from everyone. You all are Awesome !!!!

Tomarrow is the big day  I know I have been waiting for this ... Oh I am nervous alright I have Sweet people on this board, Who are having surgery tomarrow too ! My daughter Michelle, will be Keeping Julie C. in touch about my progress. it's 2:15pm and I havent done much of anything. I start one thing go to another, Oh Have I packed yet ? nope this seems unreal really. I really have jitters though.
I am getting those cold feet I guess but I don't back down. Once I start something I like to finish it. So I am going with the flow.
