Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! I will be praying for you, and I know you will come through surgery with flying colors. Pretty soon, you will be a big ol’ loser!! I’m not going to tell you that the first few weeks after surgery will be a bed of roses because it was pretty bad for me. I had lap RNY surgery on 5/24/05. But today, I feel fine and the only thing that I regret is that I didn’t have surgery in 2004 when I first started researching it. So, if you find that you’re having a hard time coping right after surgery, please know that it DOES get better. Don’t ever hesitate to email me if there is anything I can do for you – even if you just need a pep talk! So here’s to you… may you have a successful surgery, improved health, energy galore, many “wow moments”, and fabulous before-and-after pics! God bless! Hugs, Tracy

I did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
on June 29, 2008 5:07 pm
I have always wanted to do the Relay for life 24 hour cancer walk but with an extra 150 pounds it was not possible. That was last year this year I joined a team and started walking yesterday at 11 am I took breaks and ate and hydrated a lot. I walked 7 3/4 miles on Saturday. I came haome and got 5 hours sleep then got up at 4:00 AM and went back to the track. I walked 2 1/4 miles that gave me 10 miles. this was my fairy tale goal of what I wanted to do, AND I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
I cried on my last time aroud because I was so damn proud of myself. I could not believe it. If anyone wants to be a part of it next year let me know. It will be at Pennsbury High School Fairless hills Pa, At the end of June 2009. I am almost at my 1 year surgaversary ( July 12) and I could not even imagine what I would be doing this year. Thank you for supporting me in good and bad. It is a blessing to be among other people who understand.

9 months

I am 9 months out and 226 pounds. That is 135 pounds down this morning. That it my Dr's one year goal for me. I can't express how fantastic i feel. I am gardening all day then going for a walk at night. After that I am cleaning the kitchen. Last year I would have been exhausted after pulling a few weeds. It has made me better in all aspects of my life. As far as skin goes my arms are very bad but the rest of me is fine.
My stomach is flatter then i thoucht especially after 3 kids. The only regret I have is not having it sooner.

My Story

I am a 34 year old mother of three beautiful children. James is 7, Abigail is 5, and Timothy is 16 months. I so want to be healthy so I can run around and do all the tings I want to do with them. I have been married for 13 1/2 years to the most wonderful and supportive Husband anyone can have. He is excited for me because he knows this is what I want. I had a journey 2 years ago that ended bad( no surgery) but we did have our little Timmy so it all worked out great in the end. It feels like the right time now for everything to happen.
