My First Step

I met with Dr. Hess yesterday.  I am very impressed with him!  He is very nice and kind.  I feel very comfortable with him.

I decided to have the Gastric Bypass and not do the Lap Band.  I decided this would be the best choice for me as with the band I would lose less weight and it would take a longer time and I would be afraid of slippage and other complications.  I feel very comfortable in choosing the Bypass.

I'm just waiting now for a call from his office to schedule the appointments I need to be part of the program and surgery.  I will be going to the group meeting at Quincy Medical Center next Monday after work.

I'm so excited!!!
