I'm home...
on July 14, 2010 4:51 pm
I'm finally home.  I'm still a little sore, horay for pain meds.  Surgery went well and Dr. Peters is a wonderful surgeon.  Not
having any trouble with pureed foods, thank you God.  Some of this gas is finally starting to pass .  I'm so glad, I thought I was going to explode.  Hopefully things continue to go as well as they have been.  Head hunger is hard, I see things I would love to eat, but I know if I do I'll get sick.  I just have to keep telling myself I can have real food in a month.

This is hour 11 of my 48 hour clear liquid diet.  I am hungry!!!!  I don't know if I'll be able to get thru tomorrow.  Surgery is on Monday, I can't wait.

2 more weeks...
on June 28, 2010 8:56 am
I can't believe it, only 2 more weeks!  I'm so ready.  Yes, I'm a little nervous but that's normal.  I have trust in my surgeon and believe everything will go well.

Ugh
on June 15, 2010 12:01 pm
Well I just got a call from the Pulmonologist office, I have sleep apnea. So now I have to go in for another sleep study with a cpap mchn.  I can't stand this, I know I am not going to be able to sleep every night hooked up to a mchn!  But I have to use it if I want surgical clearance from the Pulmonologist.

Getting ready...
on June 12, 2010 10:12 pm
Well, the nerves have passed and I'm back to being excited!  I can't wait.  If all goes well, this time next month I will be in recovery.  I am still waiting on the results of my sleep study.  I hope I don't have sleep apnea but I prob do.  Oh well, if I do it won't be for long. I'm starting to get ready for the big day,  I bought all my vitamins and a pill organizer and  I have a ton of protein samples.  Let the countdown begin! 30 more days...

My Story

My name is Stephanie. I am 33 years old and a stay at home mom with 2 children.  I had Gastric Bypass Surgery on July 12, 2010.  My highest weight was 312, my weight at surgery was 305 and my goal weight is 150.  My surgeon is Dr. Michael Peters.  He is wonderful, I couldn't ask for a better Doctor.  So far things have been great; no complications at all.  I'm losing slower than I would like, but I'm greatful to be losing.
