Surgeon Testimonial

Arthur B. Chasen, M.D.
My WLS experiencernrnBy: Tina DaggerhartrnrnWow where do I start? Was it really 7 months ago when this whole thing started? I guess so. So I am going to fast forward a bit. I am now 1 month out and have lost 20 pounds after having RNY gastric bypass surgery.rnI started out at 268. I lost 40 pounds in my 6 month supervised diet, I ate better than I ever did in my life, I learned that I liked to work out and I realized that I could actually do this!!!rnrnDr. Chasen was not my original choice as a doctor, but God knew what He was doing when Dr. Blaney was too booked up to get me in as quickly as I wanted to! Dr. Chasen, a new surgeon in the practice, took me on. And I truly feel blessed because of it. My life has changed so much that it’s hard to remember the old Tina. I can’t wear any of the pre op clothing (except for a pair of Capri’s that I have been warned over and over again NOT to EVER wear in public). I have so much energy it’s unbelievable, my outlook on life has never been better!rnrnDr. Chasen is a compassionate, caring God fearing man, who has been blessed with an amazing surgical gift to change lives of his patients. I know he has changed mine! He encourages me and he even chastises me when necessary.rnrnHe was very involved in my pre op care, during my surgery he kept my family and friends informed to how I was doing, in the hospital after surgery he was right there to see me when I woke up (well I think I opened an eye or something-didn’t really wake up)  rnrnWhen I ended up in the ER about a week out, he almost missed his flight out of town staying to see me when I got an infection, he called and checked on me while he was gone and came to check on me in the hospital as soon as he got back in town. Dr. Davis came to the ER to check on me while Dr. Chasen was out of town.rnrnI cannot think of any other physician that I know of who is so caring and concerned about their patient’s well being before and after surgery. rnrnI know that when it is all said and done, even with the ups and downs, God led me to the perfect surgeon for me. Nothing against any other surgeon, I know the others in the group are also fantastic, but Dr. Chasen has truly been a God send to me!!rnrnI could go on and on but I guess this is enough for now. So in a nutshell, I am so thankful I made this choice, I am so thankful Dr. Chasen is my surgeon and I am so thankful that I have a whole new life ahead of me, thanks to an awesome God and a gifted surgeon.rn
