My Story

I am a type two diabetic with lots of retinal complications. I had lost my sight for two months in 2010. My endocrinologist suggested WLS two years ago but i was not ready to make such a drastic change but after not being able to see it was something I really needed to think about. My weight had reached 250lb and my blood sugars were all over the place. I finally made my decision in October 2010. With my surgeon and other doctors input we agreed that the RNY Gastric Bypass was the one best suited for me. I have since had my surgery on February 14, 2011 and I am just started really getting into this site.
