My Story

Hi..my name is Nancy, aka Sunray, from Sacramento CA.  Started my journey in October 08 with surgery scheduled for this March.  I'm really excited but as each day closes, I realize what a major decision I have made to have the rny procedure.  I've dieted all my life!  Learning a new way of living and eating is really scary..and I have always been one to fear the 'unknown' and failure. I'm a Kaiser patient so I have to travel to Richmond CA for the surgery and all pre-op and post-op appts. A 2-hour commute each way...but I found the Kaiser with no problems...and my way back home! LOL   My sister had the LAP done 2 years ago last November..and I've been jealous ever since!  I look forward to sharing this experience and learning from those already 'down the road' on their journey ^_^
