Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
Phentermine, Xenical, Tenuate Dospan you name it - done em all. Started gaining weight at 25 - now Im 35 and enough is enough. I weight 240 and need to be 105. I am exercising after years being sedentary and it feels good but losing 135 lbs requires more time at the gym than I have. Time for WLS. Debating RNY versus VSG - leaning to VSG but not sure. Dont want to have a revision down the line because the stomach stretched. It's DS, people. Lap DS. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trouble getting answer from Doc

posted 2/3/12 10:28 am
I am having WLS in May, and have been aasking my Doc in every way possible how much ileum (small intestine) he bypasses and how much remains function between the pouch and large intestine.  I've been getting answers to every other question than what I asked and he's even a little combative tellign me I dont know what Im talking about :-/

I have heard great things about his ability (though not his bedside manner) and I know he is capable.  Im just not sure what isnt clear.
