Raymond L. Capps, M.D. I met Dr. Capps for my initial consult in January of this year. My first impression was that he was very knowledgeable and direct. He was very calming and seems to have a good bed side manner. He explained all of the pros and cons of having the surgery. He made me feel vey comfortable and answered any questions I had without hesitation. I was very impressed. Which is why I was upset, to say the least, when he was deployed! But, all is well and he has returned safely home (thank God) and will be back Monday. I am looking forward to him performing my surgery.
Update--Dr. Capps is the best. He is very cautious, but that shows that he really cares for his patients and he wants you to survive this surgery. I had little to no pain at the incision site. He did a superb job. Sadly, he will not be at BTC, so I will be going to Dr. Thrift for the aftercare. Dr. Capps will be starting a practice of his own and will be doing more than just Gastric Bypass. He said that if I have any surgery related problems to come and see him, but stay at BTC for the aftercare because he really believes in the program. Time will tell I guess.

Well, it’s official!
You’re on the
losing side. The
trumpets are
blaring, the cymbals
are crashing and the
drums are drumming –
all for YOU! I hope
that all went well
for you! You’ve been
out of surgery now
for a little over a
month – YIPPIE!!!
Your journey will
have moments to
“pause” – I’d like
to impart some words
of wisdom for when
it does occur -
remember these wise
words whispered by
Confucius – “It does
not matter how
slowly you go so
long as you do not
stop.” Be patient.
You didn’t put it on
over night, it won’t
come off over night
