An Update...

Well...I know lots of you have asked how Im doing...how my belly is. Its healing...the hole is getting smaller and smaller each day. Its at a point now where I can hardly fit a Q-tip down in it to clean it out. So its much smaller. We think it may have some infection inside possibly. There is green-ish stuff coming out of it now. But the unfortunate thing is that on the 6th my husband lost his job...along with our health insurance. So now its not possible for me to see a Dr. No money and no health care...not a good combination. So Im just cleaning it...and hoping my body can fight off the infection.

Looks like plastic surgery...

I went to see a local surgeon today about the open hole in my incision. I had hopes...that just maybe I would walk away with something positive...something good. But...I wasnt so lucky. Good news- The infection is gone. Bad news- I cant be sewed back up because of the risk of developing another infection. So...I have to live with this hole in my belly. I was told that the only way to really fix it (so my belly looks normal again) is by going to a plastic surgeon. The idea of having to go through another surgery bothers me. But whats worse...is the expense involved. I still dont know how financially screwed I am from my hernia surgery...and now to have to think about this. Its hard...Im trying to stay as positive as possible. But these days...it cant ever just rain on me. It always pours.
