Well, I am 6 months out and had my visit with Dr. Freeman on Monday. I could not have been happier with my success, and he was pleased as well. I am down 75 pounds, and I hope to lose between 25 and 30 more. If I didn't lose another single pound I would be satisfied with the results!
So far the only issues I am having is with constipation. I have seen lots of folks posting about the same problem and I'm trying to get things moving along again and keeping it from happening again! Other than that, I have no complaints. I've lost some hair, but it's already beginning to grow backso I'm not stressing about it.
Mattie (our oldest daughter) had her 2 year check up Monday with me. She has done wonderfully! Her total weight loss since the week prior to surgery has been 109 pounds. She is 5'9 and weighed in at 171. Her goal is 155, but I think she would be too thin. But hey, she's almost 20 so I would be the same way if I were her. She feels better than ever, and is having a great time going to school and preparing to become a salon owner one day. She has the talent and that's exciting!
Reaching the 6 month out point has been an amazing ride. I can eat pretty much anything I want too. But as the saying goes, I chose not to eat much. I don't tempt fate, the last thing I need is to lose the desire to keep losing or maintain what I have lost.
I look forward to continuing to lose, and continuing to gain better health with every month that passes. I'm not sure if plastics will be in my future or not. At this point, I'm not concerned with it...but who knows how I will feel in another 12 months?
I'm loving my RNY! More than I ever realized i could!
