Laura Machado
My first impression of Dr. Machado, was that she really seemed to know what she was talking about. Her office staff is very helpful and supportive. Dr. Machado is very thorough on your very first consultation appt. She goes over all the risks, costs, recommendations and after care programs.
Member Interests
  • Books & Literature - Anything by John Grisham.
  • Music - Mostly country, but I do listen to other stuff.
  • Scrapbooks - I love scrapbooking, but do not have time to do very often.
  • Housework - Not so much a like, but a must for me. I like clean.
  • Amusement Parks - Cannot wait to feel more comfortable on the rides.
  • Swimming - I actually may be able to wear a bathing suit again.
  • Married - Wonderful, supportive husband Jeff.

Well I am down 51 lbs now. I am 8 weeks out and have finally hit the 50 mark. It is really funny how it feels like it has been coming off very slowly, but I would have never lost 51 lbs. in 8 weeks before surgery!!

I am so proud of you! 50 lbs is an amazing amount of weight to lose in 8 weeks! It's not just the surgery that did it, it was YOU and your will to do what it takes. Many people think that the surgery does it all and that there is nothing else to it but that's not true. You have to be disciplined to accomplish your goals with this incredible tool. I am so happy for you and VERY proud of you! I can't wait to say that I've lost that much weight! Stay beautiful and keep in touch!
