Muhammad A. Jawad, M.D. First impression of the staff and all of their help and information was OUT of this World!!
Very friendy, helpful, informative, and patient with all the questions!
Met Dr. Jawad for the first time in May...for the pre-op day, very helpful, and doesn't miss a thing! I wasn't too happy he was concerned about the ticking of my heart at first, but knew he was doing what was best! I hated the thought of post-poning my surgery....BUT...HE is the DOCTOR!!! NOT me!!
I'll be seeing the staff and my Dr. on Thursday..for the pre-op day again...and am anxious to see them all. AGAIN, all are GREAT People, and ROBERT has been a HUGE help with all the letters needed for my hubby for work!!!

Surgery has been
postponed.... did
my preop to find out
there is something
irregular with my
ticker (heart).
Needless to say
everything is on
hold until Tuesday,
I need to see a
cardiologist and get
his/her okay before
the Dr. will do the
surgery. Needless
to say, I'm
bummed!!
Oh, I did find out
Angels are
volunteers, who may
come see you at the
hospital and answer
any questions you
may have.
Bummed!! So, all was going great. Went to the Dr. on Thursday for all of the pre-op information they give you. Sat there from 8:40am until 2:30pm...went over to OCRA (hosiptal) checked in...saw the nurses (who were all fabulous!!), did my chest x-rays, blood work, blood pressure, urine, and the EKG. Well,
comes to find out every third beat of my heart is off....so I have What the EKG said "Supraventricular trigeminy". Irregular heartbeat, and the Dr. will not do the surgery until a cardiologist runs some test and gives the ok.
I'm bummed to say the least, a new future was right there in my fingertips, and now it's all on hold again...hopefully, i"ll get an ok to move forward!!??
What kind of makes me mad though...is my heart beat has always been like this!... the nurse heard my heartbeat in March, and my PCM heard it in April, but, neither said anything further about it, other than to tell me the rhythm. It was in my notes, while at the visit, it was the doctor and the EKG who have it being an issue now. Why wasn't it looked at previously if it was going to be a questionable thing??! I know the doctor is doing his job, and wants to be sure I'm healthy and all...i understand all of that...it just does not help with me being upset about it all.
OH well, I'm still pissy about it, but will update again after I know something. I have to find a cardio doc, do their tests, and go from there...
one day maybe....
