Hello everyone,
My name is Sylvia and I am 1 month away from surgery. I do not have a date yet but my last meeting /appointment will be May 15^th and I feel like I am 15 years old going on my first date ever with the most popular boy in school! I am So excited, anxious and nervous right now just thinking that sometime in June I will have my surgery and I will be regaining some of my health back and changing my life forever. My children are excited and happy for me. I love them so much and they have been very supportive.

How does one cope with this overwhelming feeling before surgery? I feel like a small child the night before Christmas.

When I go up stairs I am focused on how my knee feels and how out of breath I get so that I can try to remember the feeling after surgery..i guess to compare if that makes any sense. I am constantly measuring myself, watching what I eat and even saying goodbye to things I will no longer eat after my surgery…lol Oh my..I said goodbye to donuts, soda and all the yummy things that I oh so love.

I am preparing for my new life, the new healthy me. Like pinky and the brain I have plans to rule the world..ok not rule the world but I have wonderful plans, riding bike again, jogging and much more.
