The journey begins.......
on March 7, 2010 6:52 am

I had my surgery on Feb. 23, 2010 .  I have already lost 10.8 lbs in the first 13 days. Recovery is going very well. Some discomfort but everything is going well. Went back to work after 11 days, luckly I have a desk job & not on the forklift still otherwise I would still be off work.    It's going to be a long road but a smooth ride .

My Story

For as long as I can remember in my adult life I have always been on some form of "diet" struggling to keep my weight down. I had always maintained between 135 - 145, up until a little over 5 yrs ago. I quit smoking and ofcoarse my worst fear took hold.......weight gain!!! It just kept going up & up. Then 2 yrs ago I was told that I was a Type 2 diabetic. Back in Oct. 2009 I had started thinking about having the surgery for RNY, I started checking into it. I stumbled across a free seminar, so I attended, which was the first step to my journey. Four months later on Feb. 23, 2010, was the first day to the rest of my "new life".
