well its been a week
on May 20, 2010 6:59 am
I had my lap band done last A week ago today. I am doing really good, I am up and out and have very little pain. I have lost 13 pounds soo far but it seems to be stuck there...not real sure what to do about that. After much searching and gagging, I FINALLY found a protein drink that I can handle. If anyone out there is struggling as I did to find a good protein drink, I found it at a local nutrition store, its called nectar preotein powder. They have lots of flavors. I reccommend the pink grapefruit or the strawberry kiwi. These two flavors mix great with water. It almost tastes like a mild flavored crystal light. Well thats all I have for right now, so.....

My Story

I have been a lifer in the "Big Girl Club" for as long as I can remember. I have tried every diet strategy and excercise routine there is to try. While I had several short term succes', the weight always came back along side a few new friends. I had several friends who had the lap-band done. At first, I thought they were cheating and taking the easy way out. Now that I am 5 days in from the surgery, I apologize for ever thinking that. This is the hardest thing I think I have ever done before. You don't realize how much you actually depend on food until you van't eat it. So this is me, trying to figure out the best way to endure this new journey of food and weight loss.
