Surgeon Testimonial

Edward Felix, M.D. (COE)
He seems pretty down to earth. Seemed very willing to do the lapband without the usual pressure to do a gastric bypass. The jury's still out on how well he listens.

Thursday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench! ~ JudyAnne

On the losing side as they say.
on March 3, 2007 12:42 pm
Well here I am on day three of being on the losing side.  Everyone did a fabulous job of describing the pain level so it's right about what I thought which is actually next to nothing.  I took a couple of children's chewable advil on day one and after that nothing.  Of course my body is sore from the surgery itself, but overall it's great.  I'm just looking forward to my new adventure.  Keep me in your prayers.

My Story

January 31, 2007  I began my journey approximately two years ago when I began exploring the LAP Band.  It has taken me a while to find a surgeon that didn't pressure me to have the gastric bypass.  I am scheduled for surgery March 1st.  I am very excited, but extremely nervous too.  I feel extremely blessed because my approval came so easy as well as extremely fortunate when I read the difficulties so many of you have encountered getting approved.  I'm trying to build new coping skills i.e. I'm learning yoga from a friend and mediation on scripture.  I'm hoping this makes the transition to my new tummy a little easier.  I'll keep you posted.  Feel free to give me any pointers in learning about the new me.
