Surgeon Testimonial Daniel R. Baker M.D. Dr. Dan Baker is wonderful. He's got such a good bedside manner, he listens to anything you've got to say, and genuinely cares about his patients. Aftercare is SO important at Unity! You can call the clinic whenever, and the on-call doc will call you back within minutes if you're having problems or whatever. Never hesitate to call! Overall I rate Dr. Baker a 10++ Awesome doctor. He's like a giant teddy bear once you get to know him. A little intimidating at first. He has been doing WLS for over 25 years, so his competency is outstanding. I wouldn't go to anyone else. Definitely I would and will recommend him to future patients for WLS. Member Interests

Hi everyone! I'm Sara. A thirtysomething from suburbia, Minnesota. I'd struggled with my weight for most of my life, and finally decided to do something about it last year. So I decided to make myself happier and healthier by persuing the RNY. As of now I am down 144.5 lbs from my highest weight, and it only gets better from here! Just celebrated my one year surgiversary for RnY! I can honestly say I haven't been this happy and proud of myself in a very, very long time.

an update from my waterlogged state
on October 17, 2007 8:26 pm It has been raining here for the last week and shows no signs of letting up, and it's really put a damper(no pun intended) on my exercise. I hate walking in the rain, because I wear glasses and the rain mists them all up! UGH!
2 comments | Click here to leave a comment.Yesterday, Tuesday, my sister and the baby and I met up at the Mall of America to do a little shopping. It's one of the few things we have in common these days, that being and reading chick lit, but I'm getting off the point here. My little niece is just so adorable. We had pictures taken of her at the mall, and they are precious beyond words! I can't wait to get a copy of one of them! I will prominently display it in a pretty frame on my dresser  I love being an Auntie! It has such nice perks! My weight loss has picked up again. I can no longer fit into a 3X, and even a 2X is getting roomy. It's so hard to wrap my head around all of these changes. I'd been overweight for so long, it's just different. But I'll be okay. OH! I HAVE COLLAR BONES! AND SHOULDER BLADES! Two of each! Who knew?!?
