Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
I was my own worst critic. My husband loved me for who I was and married me when I was heavier. It wasn't until after the birth of my second child two years ago that my OBGYN told me that I needed to do something about my weight. The first time ever and Dr. even mentioned anything about my weight! I always had high self esteem, but knew I was also sometimes hiding behind my weight....always wanting to do something about it. Dieted, lost weight, but then gained it right back. I knew it was time to do something about it for good -- for the sake of my two beautiful children and my awesome husband!

My Story

Hi everyone. I'm 44 years old (that's my daughter I'm holding in my profile photo), currently weight 280 pounds. I'm done with this excess weight ENOUGH is ENOUGH! I have a wonderful husand and two children who are the world to me....and damn it, I want to be around to see my kids get married and the good Lord willing, see my grandbabies in 25 years! This OH community has given me a lot of hope....and courage to move on and do something about it! I'm almost 99 percent sure a sleeve is the way to accomplish my goals! I'm ready for the hard work to begin!
