  Hello Everyone my name is Tiffany and I am a 30 year old single female from Florida. 

  I have struggled with my weight all my life. I have always been the fat girl in class or Office. I am so tired of it, I think I've definantly done my time. I've tried weight watchers, xenical, medi weight loss clinics, phentermine and lets not even go there with all of the as seen on tv weight loss crap that i've spent hundreds of dollars on. 

 I am now finally in a position that I can self pay for my surgery. I think that taking this step will be my best life decision yet!

All plans fell through and have been a pretty big disaster these passed three years. i am now working towards getting the Sleeve. I will update when something changes.

This has been the worse three years of my life. But things are looking up :)

On Oct. 24, 2008 I was told by my surgeons office that BCBS DENIED my surgery. I'm not surprised and have definantly been expecting this. Atleast now I can move on in a direction I need to go.

Well lets see, Blue cross and Blue shield STILL have not accepted Dr. G into the network, So I decided to pull my finger out of my ass. On 10-03-2008 I told Iliana to go ahead and submit me as an out of network patient. Boy I should have done this along time ago. Atleast I would have had an answer by now and went in the direction I need to go.

BCBS still hasn't responded with an approval or denial, but they have only had my paperwork for a week. My paperwork is supposidly with the review board. Well we will see I'll keep you updated.

I can't begin to explain how aggravated I am. I was told that the insurance companies have NO MORE than 6 months to have approve or deny a Dr. into their network. Well It has now been over six months, and BCBS of FL has still not approved Dr. Gagner. I'm beginning to feel like I have to change surgeons and I DON"T want to do that! 

 Due to this bullshit I am now, more depressed and have gained 20 lbs since I saw Dr. G in March. So now I'm OVER 300 lbs. People I go to the gym and work out atleast 2 times a week. I have been more active lately. Even though I went to the gym tonight, I so did not want to get out of bed and go. Thank god for my friend Marci!!! I just feel like I don't have the energy to do it anymore. My knee's, ankles, back and well my whole body just aches now. I don't know how much more I can take.

Sorry friends, I'm not asking for a pity party, I'm just venting because I'm so upset.

Hopefully I'll have a better update for you later.

My Story



My story is pretty much my intruduction, however I am trying to make more to my story we'll see with the process of me trying to get this surgery. My next Dr's appointment is Thursday (1-31-08). I'll update afterwards.

Ok So I went to the Dr. today as you can see in my Blog. I was there for like 2.5 hours. It was crazy. He said he would send the letter to the Insurance company (BC/BS of Florida).  I got a little aggravated cuz he said it would be sent out by the end of next week. Umm ok. WHY. WTF why so long, why not atleast flippin Monday....ok I need to take a Lorazapam....lol. My next Dr. Appt. is on 2-18-08. I'm hoping that he would have heard something by then, but I doubt it. Anyways will update later.
