My surgery was performed on July 24th.  I also had my gallbladder removed and a hiatal hernia repaired.  I had a positive experience and I'm feeling better every day.  I had a difficult time when the pain medication was discontinued but I got through that discomfort and life is returning to normal.

At four weeks out I do not have the same stamina but I have lost 23 pounds since the surgery and I'm certain that the stamina will return during the second month after surgery.

I'm thrilled with the outcome, with my surgeon and with the care that I received throughout this process.  Getting approval from the insurance company was immediate but there were lots of hoops to jump through to get the approval.   All of the jumping was worth it and I feel blessed to be on this path.
