Surgeon Testimonial

Erik Wilson, M.D.
My husband and I were very comfortable with Dr. Wilson. He performed my endoscopy and was very gentle and explained everything. It was a good thing that I had the scope done. We found out that the 10 years of acid reflux has done some damage to my esophagus. Please get tested if you have acid reflux.
Connie (the nurse)has been very helpful in answering my questions. The risks of this surgery were outline to us from the very beginning. So far I would rate this doctor an 8 which is high for me since I am the granddaughter of a doctor and the daughter of a RN.

If you have an opportunity and/or haven’t already, please stop by and update your profile! We’d all love to know how well you’ve progressed!!! If you have a few moments, please take the time to send well wishes to your fellow “re-birthday” buddies!!! It’s a great boost to them as well as yourself. I'd also like to invite you to participate in the October 2003 message board. We do have activity and enjoy hearing from our peers! Have a FANTASTIC DAY! RNY 10/31/03 down 121 pounds and at GOAL!!! - I do hope that with all the recent storms to hit the south that you, your family or friends have not been too damaged by it all.

Butterflys are a great symbol of WLS patients. Like the caterpillar, we move slowly. We are not particularly attractive - and most of us are a bit round. Soon, we enter the cocoon stage, where we hide from everyone and everything, and EAT and SLEEP. Then, when the time is right, we emerge from the cocoon, spread our wings, and when they are dry, we fly off, seeking summer flowers. I love the analogy, and can't think of a thing that is better. So, first the butterflies in your stomach, and in your thoughts - pretty soon, you will have them in your heart, and you will be so proud of yourself, and feeling darn good, too!" Best of luck. Don't forget to wiggle your new wings. :) May God Bless You and Yours.
