Surgeon Testimonial

Charles Cook, M.D.
He was very profesional looks very young but is a very skilled surgeon. He does about 100 surgeries a year all with great sucess.I asked him if he has ever done anyone my size which is 745 lbs. and not to long ago he preformed the surgery on a 750 lbs. man all went well. He went over the procedure with me step by step was very clear on the risks and covered everything I needed to know.I met his assistant,he was very pleasant and made me feel comfortable right away. Also I met his nurse she was very nice answered a few questions for me. I am looking forward to this surgery and Dr. Cook I feel comfortable with and I trust him to do the very best he can.

Down 450 pounds...
on October 9, 2004 12:00 am

I'm 10 days away from my 3 year anniversary of having my RNY, Its been a great journey for me and I cant believe my life now. There is actually a whole new life I never ever dreamed about. I use to dream all the time cause I couldn't leave my home so dreaming took the actual place of living outside my home but I swear living life is a hell of alot better then just dreaming. I started out 3 years ago weighing 745 pounds BMI of 95.7 and now I weigh 295 pounds BMI of 36.9 thats still amazes me losing 450 pounds and 50 BMI Points. Anyone that is thinking about having surgery and your sitting there scared and not living life, I would say go for it you cant even imagine the fun I am having now. I am flying out to California for the 2004 Obesityhelp National Convention on October 28th. to meet all the members from the website, going to have a blast at the Halloween party, I'm excited cant wait till it gets here! Last week I rescued 2 baby kittens from the side of the highway they were laying next to their dead momma so I brought them home and their names are Ying and Yang. Here is a picture I took on October 3rd. 2004. I will be writing again soon, Take care and God Bless.

Down 430 pounds - 25 pounds of skin removed
on January 12, 2004 10:52 am
7 Weeks after my Plastic Surgery and Hernia Repair, They removed 25 pounds of skin with my Tummy Tuck I'm still recovering, I developed a Hematoma on my left side and I am dealing with that but all the other healing is great. Its very strange not having a belly hanging and the hernia popping out 2 feet in front of me. Below is a full shot of me on Christmas Day in my new suit having lost a total of 430 pounds. For everyone out there thinking about getting surgery and afraid it wont work.. I am proof that it does. 745 Pounds Start weight to now 315 Pounds. I'm happy I got this surgery, I have a life finally and living it instead of sitting in my home dreaming about it.

I am in for a long hull with all the recover time but it will be well worth it. I am 21 months post op and lost 385 pounds, lost 40 inches off my waist and thats before plastics can't wait to see what it will be after :-) I am very happy with the results of my RNY Surgery, I would recommend it to anyone who thinks they are in need of it.
