Surgeon Testimonial

Andrew Aldridge M.D., F.A.C.S.
I like Dr. Aldridge. He's very personable, knowledgable and sincere. He explains things well and he truely seems to care about people.

He did a wonderful job on my VSG, so far I am very happy with the results and the aftercare is top-notch.

I don't have anything negative to say about him or his staff.

Monday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench!

At goal
on June 19, 2008 1:23 pm
What a difference 7 months and a week make.  I have passed my goal of 164 lbs. by 1.4 and currently weigh 162.6  the 'official scale' is at Dr. Aldridges office, at home I am closer to 158.  I'm a 'big girl', large boned and a little muscular so even though 160ish sounds like a lot it is right for me.

I am very happy at this weight but It may still take awhile to my head to catch up with my new size. I still feel a bit chubby...but only a bit :-)

This is one of the few times in my life where all my hard work paid off.  It was pleasurable hard work for the most part and I certainly had my moments of doubt and regret but it was all worth it, every bit!

Dr. A says I'm doin' ok
on June 4, 2008 8:12 pm
I had a visit with Dr. Aldridge for my 6 month check-up and I'm still kicking.  Actually I'm closer to 7 months post-op and I've lost about 88 lbs since surgery and nearly 115 altogether.  I have 10 lbs. or less still to lose and I seem to be losing 1 to 1 1/2 pounds a week now so I'm right on track.

I feel great physically and I'm adjusting mentally.  I still see a psycologist regularly and that is going very well.  I'm generally happy and well adjusted (I hope) but sometimes old crap just sneeks up on me.

For a shocker...I weigh less than I did in High School and wear smaller clothes than I thought possible.

I still feel that the VSG is the best thing I've ever done for myself and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
The results outweigh the risks by a long-shot. <-- I won't get to use the word 'outweight' much anymore ;-)
