Andrew Averbach, M.D. I met Dr. Averbach at one of his seminars at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore and I immediately thought he was the one. I then scheduled a consultation in his office a few days later. His office staff was wonderful and very helpful and organized. His office has a very structured pre and post surgery program to include nutritional guidelines, psychiatric evaluation and support group attendance recommendations. After meeting with him, I felt more at ease about risks and and anticipated complications. I am confident he has the surgcial competence to perform this surgery on me.
Congrats on becoming
a loser today Terri.
I know you'll do
just great!! I wish
you a speedy
recovery, and look
forward to hearing
about all of your
successes.
Well it is May 14th time is passing quickly. I am ready to get it over with at this time. Today I have to go get a chest xray the last of my pre op physcal. Still need to get more organized for surgery. Prescription for the blood clot medication needs to be filled. The nurse Cathy said that the rx could cost 1,000 dollars I am so glad I have rx coverage. I feel for people that don't. I the OH site, especially the message boards, I have met so many kind and caring people. The support and guidance you get from everyone is wonderful. Now that I have been utilizing it I don't know how I would have gotten through it. My family is not supportive because they really do not understand how big this really is. So thank god for all the OH people.

Theresa: I'm as anxious as you are and feel the same way about our OH family. Other (non-fat) people don't understand what we are going through or what a tough decision this was to make. Let's get together after and take MO's offer to go to support meetings with her, okay? ~ Lisa Z.
