Andrew Averbach, M.D. I met Dr. Averbach at one of his seminars at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore and I immediately thought he was the one. I then scheduled a consultation in his office a few days later. His office staff was wonderful and very helpful and organized. His office has a very structured pre and post surgery program to include nutritional guidelines, psychiatric evaluation and support group attendance recommendations. After meeting with him, I felt more at ease about risks and and anticipated complications. I am confident he has the surgcial competence to perform this surgery on me.
Congrats on becoming
a loser today Terri.
I know you'll do
just great!! I wish
you a speedy
recovery, and look
forward to hearing
about all of your
successes.
Down to day 7 just one week. First I thought the time was going slow but now it seems like it is going fast. Fast is good, I am a little afraid when I think of what is ahead of me but, I am ready. Trying my best to stay optimistic. This site has been the best thing, I am not sure my frame of mind would be in a good place like it is now. I have met online so many great people I am anxious to meet of them in person. I still have to purchase my vitamins and protein drinks, I made a shopping list for next week, revised my to do list for the hospital so that I do not forget anything. I also need to find out who is taking me to the hospital on Friday, my son Tom has taken off of work to take me. He is so wonderful, we both work at the same job just a different location he has become very successful at the ripe old age of 32, in the position at work he earns alot of paid leave time I on the other hand, don't get a chance to earn much time, and have been very ill off and on throughout the years, so I only have a few weeks of paid leave to take but not enough to cover me for the whole post op time. Tom my son is donating me whatever time I need. He just donated me two weeks leave and offered more if I need it. I thank god for his wonderful, kindness and compassion. I am so very proud of him he has accomplished so much in his young life and there is only more to come for him.
