Surgeon Testimonial

Adam Smith, D.O., F.A.C.O.S
I met with Dr. Smith on 2/7/07. He was very nice and laid back. He went through everything with me and he felt I would be a great candidate for surgery. He let me feel the port under his skin to see what it is like. He was extremely professional. He is very big on aftercare and overall change of life habits. rnrnI can't say enough about Dr. Smith. Since he is a Lap-band patient himself, he truly understands what we are going through. Susee, his nurse, is a lap-band patient as well as is always there to assist the patients.rnrnDr. Smith is well respected in the medical community and I felt 100% confident with him providing my surgery. He is very educated on the lap-band surgery and has great bedside manner.rnrnI had some issue with getting fills in the beginning. Availability was hard! They have worked on the fill issues. They have another doctor now and it is easy to get in for a fill within a few days.rnrnI highly recommend Dr. Smith and I would do it again in a heart beat. They have commended me along the way and held me accountable. I could have never done it without Dr. Smith and Susee cheering me on!rn

.5 Pounds
on April 8, 2008 5:56 am
I will take the .5 pound loss! I am trying to watch calories and I did exercise last night.

Having my Dad here is not helping. He is taking a lot of time from my hubby and I. I also feel really stressed and I guess just from seeing him in so much pain and having to help him. I did ride the exercise bike 4 hours while he was taking a nap last night.

I can do this!

Stress
on April 2, 2008 12:52 pm
I swear it is a crazy time for me. Most of you know my father has batteled cancer for the last six months. He has 1/2 his lung removed and all the cancer on 2/21. We received great news (all the cancer is gone); however, the surgery was very difficult. Dad is still recovering.

I received a call last Thursday that he was not doing well. So, I drove 10 1/2 hours to see if he was ok and ended up having to bring him back to Texas with me for three weeks until his follow up appointment. Don't get me wrong, I love him but it is a lot of work when you are not planning it.

I find myself feeling stress and wanting to eat to relieve my fears, stress, and emotions. I started my period yesterday and that has just made it worse. I am very fearful that I will gain weight. I am trying so hard to find time to exercise but I just haven't done it!

I am trying to be strong.
