Felix Spiegel, M.D.
Dr. Spiegel is a great doctor! Dr. Spiegel has always been there to answer my questions or concerns even after hours. There is great emphasis on aftercare and support. However, because of the distance, I am unable to make the support meetings. I do wish that he offered support groups within the Lake Charles area which would allow quite a few of his patients to attend. I filmed an informercial in April 2008 and it pretty awesome to be recognized where you go and to be able to share my WLS journey. I would rate Dr. Spiegel a 9.0 for his surgical competence.

    Hello to all of you. My surgery was over at around 1 p.m. yesterday. However, when I came home, I crashed out for about 3-4 hours. I am already pleased with my results and I am anxious to see what the next 3-6 months will bring becuase I will be even smaller. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes and for taking the time to sign my surgery support page. Your prayers were/are needed and appreciated. A special thank you to Colew517 aka Tia, Mrs. Rhonda, Pastor Di, Ms Nicci and Diamond in the rough aka Mitzi for calling and texting me during surgery to check up on me.

My Story

It has taken me 15+ years to weigh less than 200 pounds.  I have finally achieved this success with the LAP-BAND System in just one year!  I decided to have the surgery to coincide with Valentine's Day and my birthday as a way of saying I love you to myself and I want to live a long and healthy life.  Having the surgery has completely changed my outlook on life, my attitude and my ability to help others with similar situations.  Thank you Dr. Spiegel and the LAP-BAND System.

ETA 05/13/09:  It is a daily journey for me to remain under 200 pounds.  My goal for the coming months is to maintain my weight once I return to onederland and stay there. 

ETA 06/22/09:  Notice the struggle below on the weight  chart even after WLS.  This ain't no joke people.  To the pre-ops and newbies, get your mind right.  I am in onederland AGAIN.
