Dr. Zorn's office called today. I have a tenative appointment for 6/18/07, they will call tomorrow to confirm. I am so excited and so scared. I know it is what I want and I can't wait for the next 2 weeks to be over.
My name is Judy and I started gaining weight at about 11. I have tried dieting, but always have gained the weight back. Over the last 3 years I have had a heart arthymia and am finding it harder and harder to continue to be active. My husband worries about me all the time but never nags me about my weight. He says he loves me the way I am. I wish I could say the same about myself. I hate being overweight. I know that it shouldn't bother me but I find that it is starting to rule my life. In November 2005 my PCP suggested the bariatric surgery might be an option for me and she referred me to the Kaiser Fontana Bariatric Program I was accepted and started the Options classes in November 2006. I graduated the Options Class April 30 and had my appointment with my surgeon, Dr. Zorn from Pacific Bariatrics, last Thursday May 24, I also had the psych evaluation and the appointment with an internist/cardiologist. I am planning on having having RNY, hopefully by mid June 2007.
